Into the Unknown Frozen 2 lyrics: What are the lyrics – IN FULL

The queen of musical theatre, Idina Menzel, performs incredibly as Elsa in Frozen. In the first film, she had Let It Go as her anthem, which won a Grammy and Oscar for the composers. This time around, Into the Unknown is Elsa’s big song – but what are the lyrics?

Into the Unknown comes at a pivotal moment in Frozen 2.

At this point, Elsa is Queen of Arendelle, but she has been distracted of late.

As she does her day to day life, she hears the sound of a mystical voice calling her, but after her adventure in the first film, she is not keen to be pulled “into the unknown” again, or forced to leave her sister, Anna (voiced by Kristen Bell.)

However, as the song continues, she follows the voice out and unintentionally wakes up the elemental spirits as she does so.

She is given instructions which will help her to find what she needs to do, and eventually she enlists her friends and family to join her on her quest into the unknown.

Between her concerns, as voiced in the song, the voice sings in the distance and calls to her.

This voice is provided by singer AURORA, though we later learn the voice is actually that of her mother, Iduna (Evan Rachel Wood.)

Here are the lyrics IN FULL:

I can hear you, but I won’t
Some look for trouble, while others don’t
There’s a thousand reasons I should go about my day
And ignore your whispers, which I wish would go away, oh, oh, oh

You’re not a voice; you’re just a ringing in my ear
And if I heard you (which I don’t) I’m spoken for, I fear
Everyone I’ve ever loved is here within theses walls
I’m sorry, secret siren, but I’m blocking out your calls

DON’T MISS

Where are you going?

Don’t leave me alone
How do I follow you

Into the unknown
