Coco Austin Explains How Her Father’s COVID-19 Battle Has Affected Her Family

Coco Austin has been doing everything in her power to stay resilient in the face of her father’s health crisis following his admittance into the hospital due to COVID-19. Speaking with reporters from Page Six in a new interview, Austin claimed she wanted her father to “pull-through” more than anything.

According to the outlet, Steve, 63, first started fighting against COVID-19 at the Abrazo Arrowhead Hospital in Glendale, Arizona. Recently, doctors told Coco that her father – like Nick Cordero did – might have to go on a ventilator because he has pneumonia in both of his lungs.

Austin shared that Steve is really struggling to stay strong at the moment. He can’t talk, say yes or no, and she has resorted to communicating with him through text messaging. But he doesn’t even want to do that anymore Coco explained.

Coco says that doctors have put him on steroids and other pharmaceuticals to help him feel strong and “good.” The wife of Ice-T states that it’s not looking good for her father, and the results that came back recently weren’t positive. She wishes they were better.

The 41-year-old claims she last saw Steve in Arizona on Father’s Day, and she and other members of the family had been spending part of their quarantine time together to celebrate the special day. According to Austin, her father has been feeling out of energy, despite the fact he loves to talk.

She stated that her father is an avid conversationalist, so the fact he isn’t saying much anymore really shows his condition. According to Austin, her father first started noticing symptoms that later became more severe.

After nine days of suffering, he finally sought out treatment, and by that point, it was already too late. She says Steve was doing his best to quarantine, but he was never crazy about wearing face masks.

Coco says that her father never liked wearing the masks, and she believes it’s part of the reason why he’s struggling now. Coco and her family are in Arizona, a state where there has been an uptick in cases.
