Kim Jong-Un’s sister shows authority on new project to improve North Korea’s propaganda

His sister, Kim Yo-Jong, has made the decision so she can depict her brother’s love for the people and the ideological fervour of Pyongyang General Hospital (PGH)’s construction workers. This is according to a source in the country who spoke to Daily NK on June 25.“On June 20, comrade Kim Yo Jong instructed the Propaganda and Agitation Department to produce 75 volumes, including full-length and short novels and poetry collections, by the 75th anniversary of Party Foundation Day on Oct. 10,” the source said.

“The April 15 Literature Writing Group, which is under the Korean Writers; Alliance, has been tasked with the writing, while the Munhak Yesul Chonghap Chulpansa will be responsible for printing and publishing,” he added.

In particular, Kim Yo Jong has instructed there be a series of ordinary books that emphasise the Supreme Leader’s great love for not just the people, but for those involved in the development of PGH.

In her order, she stressed the importance of the role played by writers, stating that “workers in the literary arts must play their part in making Oct. 10 a great celebration of victory.

Kim followed on by saying that it would be a day being remembered as another proud moment in the party’s history.

Not only has she been instrumental in this project, but she has also been a key component in increasing tensions between South Korea as well as implementing harsher punishments for defectors.

In recent weeks, she ordered the attack to blow up an inter-Korean liaison office on the border.

Despite this being a centre in which peace agreements and talks were being conducted, Kim Yo Jong decided to use its destructions as a means to cut of all communication with the South.

Although this hasn’t led to immediate or direct military intervention, aggressive rhetoric has been exchanged from both sides, as well as North and South starting to mobilise troops to border regions.

According to Daily NK, Kim Yo-Jong is retaliating this way so she can ‘show off’ her military prowess.

As a woman in power in North Korea, it’s extremely difficult for Kim to get any recognition and if she is to see herself as the next ‘Supreme Leader’ then it’s rumoured that being a military commander is highly regarded.

It’s what both previous Kim’s did in order to confirm their place as the country’s next Dictator, so although Kim Yo Jong lacks in that department, she is making up for it with her fiery persona.
