Sainsbury’s also issued the recall notice on its website, stating: “It has been brought to our attention that due to a possible seal integrity problem which could affect the shelf life of the product, the above product has been recalled.
“We are asking customers who have purchased this product to return it to their nearest Sainsbury’s store for a full refund when they next visit for groceries and other essentials.
“For any concerns or queries or if you are vulnerable, shielding or otherwise unable to return the product to store then please contact Kepak’s Careline on 0800 760 067 or by email to [email protected].
“No other products have been affected by this issue. We would like to apologise for the inconvenience this may cause.”
