George Floyd And The Cop That Killed Him, Derek Chauvin, Used To Work Together At A Nightclub – Former Co-Worker Says They ‘Bumped Heads!’

As it turns out, George Floyd and the cop that killed him, Derek Chauvin, knew each other long before the senseless murder that would go on to start a revolution for equality! Apparently, at some point in their lives, they worked at the same nightclub but that’s not to say that they ever really got along well.

One man who also used to work there, shared all about their relationship as co-workers in a new interview for CBS News.

The nightclub in question is based in Minneapolis, where the tragedy also took place, and it is called El Nuevo Rodeo.

David Pinney, the man who worked there with them as well, shared with the news outlet that the cop and George ‘bumped heads.’

He went on to reveal that Chauvin had some violent tendencies even back then and acted upon them not just with his co-workers.

‘It has a lot to do with Derek being extremely aggressive within the club with some of the patrons, which was an issue,’ Pinney stated.

As for their jobs there, Floyd was part of the club’s security team while Chauvin was hired to sit outside in his police car while off-duty.

Pinney recalled one particular incident between the two men which was all about the cop’s paycheck.

After all, the team on the insider was paid directly by the club and they were the ones who then had to pay the outside detail, including Chauvin.

That being said, the latter was really mad at Floyd when he handed him the paycheck since he considered it was not enough for his work.

Asked to confirm if Chauvin knew Floyd when he arrested and eventually took his life, the third man stressed that ‘I’d say he knew him. No doubt in my mind. He knew exactly who George was.’
