Rapazote said Narcos didn’t depict the drug world in a glamourous light but instead said it was a “real” portrayal of this gritty underbelly.
His career spans 20 years across film and television with other projects including Operation Finale, Rainha das Flores, A Única Mulher and Bem-Vindos a Beirais.
Earlier this year, he featured in Na Corda Bamba and according to IMDb, he will next be starring in Femena.
The multi-talented star can speak five languages and has worked in Spain, Portugal, France, Italy and America.
He previously worked as an architect before deciding to pursue an acting career.
Rapazote is married to fellow Portuguese actress Mafalda Vilhena with the pair tying the knot in 2003. The couple have two children.
