Loose Women viewers infuriated by Michelle Mone’s weight loss remarks

The Loose Women panel were back and today it was the turn of Andrea McClean, Denise Welch and Judi Love to be in the ITV studio while Carol McGiffin was on a live video link. Joining them for the lunchtime chat show was Baroness Michelle Mone to discuss her incredible weight loss and how she and her business is coping during the coronavirus lockdown. However, those watching at home were left angered by her comments about losing weight.

The entrepreneur is best known for setting up the lineage brand Ultimo – which she sold back in 2004.

Recently, she has been in the spotlight for her incredible eight sone weight loss as she lifted the lid on eating three McDonald’s a day to indulge her fast food cravings.

Speaking from the Isle of Man, Michelle recalled the advice she was given by Rachel Hunter, who told her to treat her body like a business”.

During the interview, Michelle revealed how she lost weight and offered her advice for others who are looking to do the same.

“There was times when I didn’t want to be here, I was so depressed,” Michelle honestly divulged.

“Fitness now keeps me motivated and keeps me focused.”

But how did Michelle shed the weight and keep it off?

I’ve hired a nutritionist, and I’ve hired a personal trainer who have been with me for the past year,” she revealed.

A few took to Twitter to comment, one said: “Great advice there from Tory multi-millionaire Michelle Mone on how to lose weight. Build a private gym. Hire a personal nutritionist and hire a personal trainer. It’s all so easy.”

One sarcastically remarked: “Isn’t Michelle Mone lucky to be able to afford a PT and a nutritionist, and all the healthy food that goes with it. She looks really good and best wishes to her.”

“It’s ok for all these celebs like Michelle Mone on Loose Women talking about weight loss but most of us mere mortals cant afford nutritionists, personal trainers etc, and we don’t have money for gym equipment,” another added.

However, Michelle did reveal how during lockdown, while she has been using her home gym, she is also using the outdoors and walking 90-minutes a day.

Loose Women airs weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV.
