Brooks Laich, 36, has fatherhood on his mind following his split with Julianne Hough. Entertainment Tonight reported on the podcast, How Men Think, in which the ex-NHL player explained how he wants kids.
Brooks’ revelation, as it was noted above, comes shortly after he and Julianne Hough broke up for good. Brooks dished on systemic racism during the same podcast episode, stating that he hopes to have children someday in the future.
“I’m on a journey to really learn more,” Brooks explained, adding that it’s incredibly important to him. According to Laich, he wants the world to be a better place for his kids. Fans of Julianne and Brooks know that the couple never tried to have a baby, although, she did freeze some of her eggs.

Julianne explained that she and her man never tried to get pregnant, but it was more of a “precautionary measure.” They were simply doing their “due diligence” by freezing some of her eggs, just in case, they decided to have kids.
Of course, this idea never came to fruition, because Brooks and Julianne later split up after spending time away from each other amid the COVID-19 pandemic. This past month, Brooks and Julianne announced they were going to go their separate ways after just three years.
In a statement to People Magazine, Julianne and the former NHLer said they were going to separate. Despite their sudden split, they stated they still had a lot of love and respect for each other and would forever care for one another.
A source who spoke with Entertainment Tonight around the same time as rumors of their split proliferated, stating that the couple was going through hard times. Of course, social media rumors were facilitated by images of Julianne hanging out with another man in California.

An insider previously said to the outlet that Julianne and Brooks were going through a “very hard time.” Marriage wasn’t working out for them, even though they had been working on it.
