Lil Nas X Responds To Tucker Carlson’s Claim That He And Other Celebs Are Encouraging Riots

On the 5th of June, Lil Nas X, the “Old Town Road,” rapper, responded to comments from Fox News’ Tucker Carlson in which the television show host supposedly accused celebrities and entertainers of inciting riots in the United States.

On his account, Lil Nas X defended himself against the conservative commentator after he blamed entertainment industry figures for facilitating riots around the nation. Tucker Carlson took particular issue with celebrities who have been raising funds to bail out protestors.

Lil Nas X, the rapper, tweeted that a man “lied and told millions of people on national television that I was inciting riots.” He joked that a person couldn’t even make such a thing up if they tried. You can check out one of these tweets below:

On Friday, Tucker Carlson scrolled through a list of celebrities who have been giving money to protestors and rioters through organizations such as Black Lives Matter. He says that the donations are for releasing “violent rioters out of jail.”

Among some of these people included individuals like Janelle Monae, Harry Styles, Kehlani, and Halsey.

Tucker said on his massive platform that it would be much better if celebrities did what they could to help out the small businesses who have been devastated by the riots. Seth Rogen, as well, commented on Carlson’s remarks when he said, “f*ck this pasty asshole.”

Halsey also jokingly referred to her people as “domestic terrorists,” amid her comment, “f*ck Fox News.” As most know, Lil Nas X is just one of many celebrities who have publicly supported the protestors and demonstrations around the country following the death of George Floyd.

Derek Chauvin, the police officer who killed Floyd by pressing his knee against his neck, was charged with third-degree murder and manslaughter, although, his charges have since been increased. The other officers involved were also charged.

As it was noted above, the protestors have been the cause du jour among celebrities and the entertainment industry. Earlier this week, Beyoncé shared her thoughts on the arrests of the other officers involved in George Floyd’s death.
