Selena Gomez Tells Graduating Students That It’s Fine Not To Know What Their Next Move Is And More In Powerful Message For Class 2020!

Selena Gomez was one of the many celebrities joining Facebook’s #Graduation2020 celebration and the singer had some really great advice for those graduating amid this weird time! It is no secret that seniors this year have had to attend online classes because of the pandemic and maybe feel out of place and discouraged as they start their new lives as official adults more than other generations before them.

But Selena thought she should use her voice to help them out with some advice and encouragement.

She started her inspiring message by telling seniors that ‘You all have worked incredibly hard to get to this point. I know it is not exactly how you imagined your graduation would look like.’

The former Disney star went on to share some words of wisdom directed at all those who are entering the workforce.

‘I want to say that it is ok to not know what you want to do with the rest of your life yet. It is a journey to find your direction and your passions. So, do not get frustrated by the mistakes and the setbacks as they happen to all of us. If you do not believe in yourself, you do not expect others to believe in your abilities.’

Of course, Selena also made it very clear that solely graduating, especially amid the pandemic is something that they should be very proud of.

Therefore, she encouraged them to celebrate as soon as it’s possible but to stay safe in the meantime.

‘Hopefully, when large gatherings are allowed again, everybody can get together and celebrate this important achievement. But until then, just stay safe, stay connected with your friends and loved ones, and congratulations!’
