While on IG Live earlier today, Amanda Kloots revealed the great news that her husband, Nick Cordero, has woken up from his coma! As you might know, the Broadway actor has had his leg amputated and also entered a medically induced coma just to try and save his life, all these following COVID-19 complications!
Apparently, Nick woke up on Mother’s Day on May 10 and while he is still really weak, he has shown clear signs that he hears and understands everyone.
The wife was happy to share that ‘Guys, great, great day, and great news! Nick, oh my gosh, we’ve come a really long way. A very, very long way. It is hard to believe. Nick, he is so weak. Really, really weak, yet you can tell that he is in there, you can tell that he is trying, you can tell that he is hearing and it is just, honestly, amazing.’
She also proceeded to sing alongside her son Elvis and afterwards, stressed that he is ‘awake’ and can hear people and respond by moving his eyes up and down.
‘The thing is that he’s just so weak, our guy is so weak from everything that he went through. Even closing his eyes, just takes it out of him. They are waiting for him to regain his strength, of course, time and recovery will really help with that and eventually PT will help him get stronger. But he’s a true superhero. Everything is looking good, finally. It is a very long road still… but we’re in the beginning of recovery and waking up… What a miracle,’ Amanda gushed.
