During a chat with Lil Wayne on the newest episode of ‘Young Money Radio,’ Drake opened up about parenthood as well as his new music. The rapper explained, among other things, why he finally decided to introduce his son, Adonis to the world!
As you probably remember, Drake took everyone by surprise when he shared the first pics of his child after previously trying to keep him more of a secret.
Also as a complete surprise, he dropped his mixtape, Dark Lane Demo Tapes not too long ago so during his sit down with the fellow rapper, Drake made sure to talk about the tracks while also discussing his role as a dad to his 2-year-old son, Adonis.
The hitmaker posted the very first pics of the toddler on his Instagram account on March 30 and now he dished that ‘It was great for me. It was great to share that with the world and just felt like … It was not even anything I talked to anyone about or anything that I planned. I just woke up one morning and was like, ‘you know what? This is something that I want to do.’ I wanna be able to go places with my son and to share memories with my son.’
‘I do not want to feel like because of the life choice I made to be a ‘celebrity’ that I have to make everyone live under this blanket too. So, I wanted to free myself of that. And I’ve watched you [Lil Wayne] be a functioning rap father for years, an incredible father,’ he went on to say.
