Barbara Martin of the Motown group The Supremes has died at the age of 76. Se apparently died on Wednesday this week, with her death confirmed on the group’s Facebook group on Thursday.
Band member Mary Wilson wrote a moving tribute to the former singer: “Our hearts go out to Barbara’s family and friends.
“Once a Supreme, always a Supreme.”
Barbara was a member of the singing group from 1960 to 1962, replacing founding member Betty McGlown.
She joined the group when they were still named The Primettes.
