GTA 6 release date news: Incredible new Grand Theft Auto London gameplay revealed

GTA 6 is easily the most anticipated game of the next decade, and it hasn’t even been announced.

The next game in the Grand Theft Auto saga is almost certainly in development, especially with Red Dead Redemption 2 wrapping up back in 2018.

While the release date and location remains a mystery, one fan has put together a stunning new GTA 6 gameplay video.

Created by UK Drill Insider, the incredible video gives fans a taste of what Grand Theft Auto would look like in London.

The last time GTA made the trip to London was all the way back in the late 1990s.

Available on PC and the original PlayStation, Grand Theft Auto: London 1969 retained the top-down view from the original games.

While the PSOne spinoff wasn’t exactly a classic, UK Drill Insider’s video has certainly made a return to London a tantalising prospect.

You can take a look at the GTA 6 London concept gameplay video. You can also vote for your preferred GTA 6 location in the poll further down the page.

Previous rumours have suggested GTA 6 will be set in the 1970s or 1980s, and feature a single playable protagonist.

Likewise, the next Grand Theft Auto game will allegedly take place in Vice City and Rio de Janeiro.

It’s also been claimed that the Grand Theft Auto sequel would launch on PS5 and Xbox Series. This ties in to a previous leak that suggested GTA 6 would have a 2020 release date, although this now looks highly unlikely.

It’s more likely that Grand Theft Auto 6 will be announced in 2020, followed by a release within the next couple of years.

Rumours of an imminent GTA 6 reveal have escalated following a hiring spree by Rockstar Games.

One of the more interesting job adverts is for a new video editor at Rockstar Games.

This has led to speculation that Rockstar is working on a brand new reveal trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6.

Rockstar has also reportedly in the process of getting a song cleared to use in an upcoming trailer, leading to further speculation that GTA 6 is inbound.

In the meantime, whet your appetite with a look at what a Grand Theft Auto game set in London could look like, and remember to vote in the poll.
