Michael Jackson children: Who is the mother of Blanket?

Michael Jackson had three children before he died aged 50 in 2009. His children have been at the centre of many news reports, with their parents also under a great deal of speculation. But who is Blanket, his youngest child’s mother, and how did they meet?

Blanket, 18, who is now known by his new nickname, Bigi, has always been the most reclusive of the Jackson siblings.

Now a teenager, Bigi posts film and TV reviews on YouTube along with Prince and their cousin Taj, but is a high school student at present, and is rarely seen out in public.

The threesome discuss movies such as Sonic the Hedgehog and Birds of Prey on their channel, Film Family.

The three siblings seem to be very close, given they are regularly posting on social media about on another.

But who is Blanket’s mother?

Blanket was originally said to have been conceived by an anonymous surrogate, despite his older siblings, Paris and Prince, being the children of Jackson’s second wife, Debbie Rowe.

While that is true, there were some interesting conspiracy theories which came out.

Firstly, in the 2003 documentary Living with Michael Jackson, he told Martin Bashir: “We have an agreement that we can’t talk about.

We have a contractual agreement, who she is and everything, that’s how we worked that out.”

However, despite confirming he had a relationship with the mother, he then completely changed his story, later telling Bashir: “I used a surrogate mom, my own sperm cells. She doesn’t know me, I don’t know her.”

Despite these mixed messages from Jackson himself, The Mirror claimed to have uncovered Blanket’s surrogate’s real name: Helena.

According to The Mirror, she was a Mexican nurse who was paid a £15,600 ($20,000) surrogacy fee.

However, it is the case that, despite Helena being the surrogate, the egg donor was an unknown woman.

The woman was allegedly paid a $£3,500 fee, and she was asked to sign legal papers to hand over her rights to the child.

These eggs were implanted into Helena, The Mirror asserts, via IVF, which was conducted by IVF specialist Dr Lila Schmidt.

Dr Schmidt is bound by confidentiality rules but said: “The surrogate is the carrier of the baby. The biological mom is the egg donor.

“The surrogate has no connection to the child. It’s not their kid. On the birth certificate, you can say whoever you want. That’s why you hire an attorney.

“The birth certificate can say Donald Duck and Mickey Mouse but there might not be any genetic relationship to the child.”

Jackson’s friend claimed he was not present at the birth of Blanket, but a doctor who delivered Blanket said instead an attorney was at the birth, and the baby was taken away immediately.

Jackson had two children with Debbie Rowe: Prince and Paris, but he did not have any children with his first wife, Lisa Marie Presley.
