The US President has been involved in a number of scandals that would likely upset his wife, but there was one in particular that apparently left her furious. During the 2016 presidential election, a video was published by The Washington Post that featured Mr Trump bragging to TV host Billy Bush that his fame meant he could grab women “by the p***y”. The audio was hugely damaging to the Trump campaign, but it also caused problems at home.
At the time the video was released, it caught the future President off-guard as he was preparing for the October 9 debate.
According to 2019 book ‘Kushner Inc’, an early question he asked was: “What year was that?”
His team believed he was trying to work out whether it was before or after his 2005 marriage to Melania.
Unfortunately for Mr Trump, it was recorded several months after he and the Slovenian model tied the knot.

Many of the team went home that night thinking the campaign was dead, but his campaign chief – Brietbart founder Steve Bannon – insisted that Mr Trump issue a video response.
After the speech was written, they were trying to find a teleprompter from which he could read it, but it took “literally hours” for them to find the right equipment.
During these hours, he went up to his apartment to face the music with his wife.
Author Vicky Ward wrote: “Trump paced back and forth.
Recalling the moment she first saw the tape, she said: “I said to my husband that the language is inappropriate, it’s not acceptable.
“And I was surprised because that is not the man that I know.
“And as you can see from the tape, the cameras were not on, it was only a mic.
“And I wonder if they even knew that the mic was on, because it was a kind of ‘boy talk’ and he was led on, like egged on by the host to say dirty and bad stuff.”
While Melania did come out to defend her husband in this way, his team were unsure at first whether she even would.
In their scramble to fix the mess, Mr Bannon wanted to hold a last-minute rally, while pollster and adviser Kellyanne Conway wanted Mr Trump to do an interview with David Muir on ABC in which he would sit with a “forgiving” Melania.
Former New York mayor and longtime friend of Mr Trump, Rudy Giuliani pushed for the same thing, but on 60 Minutes.
However, Mr Bannon claimed they had “overlooked one small problem”.
He asked them: “Has anyone checked with Melania?”
Ms Ward wrote: “Melania was clearly upset and it seemed unlikely that she was going to sit for that kind of interview.”
In the end, she publicly stood by her husband, although she did of course condemn the “language” he used.
