Naomi Seibt, known as the “anti-Greta”, is a 19-year-old who is at the forefront of the growing climate scepticism movement. Ms Seibt was propelled onto the main stage in Washington when she made an appearance at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) on Friday.
She made it clear during the conference that she would position herself as the leader of the new right wing climate change sceptics.
During an interview with the Daily Telegraph at the conference, she made it clear that she is not a big fan of Greta’s, nor does she wish to garner the same level of fame.
She said: “I think it’s wrong we let people like Greta Thunberg – who is a young girl, who has no scientific or economic experience – or politicians or celebrities like Leonardo DiCaprio, talk about a scientific topic.
“I don’t want people to follow me unconditionally, as many do with Greta.

According to Ms Seibt, it was Greta’s school strikes that encouraged her to look into climate change.
She reportedly spent months researching the issue after she watched youth protests become a weekly phenomenon in her hometown, Münster, west Germany.
She said that she came to the conclusion that CO2 does not have a “terrible impact on the climate”.

Her catch phrase is, “I don’t want you to panic. I want you to think.”
During the conference, she told the audience: “Man vastly overestimates his power if he thinks he can, with CO2 emissions, destroy the climate.”
She also said she would welcome a conversation with Greta who has become a hero in recent times.
She said: “I wouldn’t want to debate her on the science,” she added, “because I don’t want to destroy her.”
Greta brought her climate awareness campaign to the UK last week.
She spoke at a rally for 25,000 school children who were striking in Bristol.
Both teenagers have long blonde hair and are the frontrunners in their prospective fields.
Greta has bitterly feuded with US President Donald Trump.
But Ms Seibt said she would “love to meet” Trump one day.
