Anton du Beke admits Strictly left him with 'unfulfilled ambitions' amid surprising move

“But I had an ambition to be a star of the show, sequins and feathers, Blackpool and the Ballroom, a new partner, hard work, and I started to bloom.”

Addressing finding fame on Strictly, he continued: “Life was good and trophies were won, but things would get better, as Strictly begun.

“An album, two novels, best sellers by the way, constantly working and reinventing.”

However, in spite of his happiness on the BBC dance competition, Anton revealed winning the show is his “ultimate mission” after narrowly losing out with Emma Barton to Kelvin Fletcher and Oti Mabuse in the final last year.
