Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo to Inter Miami interest confirmed by David Beckham

David Beckham has confirmed Inter Miami’s interest in signing world stars Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. Miami play their first-ever professional game this weekend against LAFC as the 2020 MLS season kicks off.

The Herons have been linked with some of the biggest stars in the game given the club’s financial backing and the draw of living in Florida.

And Beckham could not help but admit he would love to bring the likes of Ronaldo and Messi to Fort Lauderdale.

“We keep hearing that, we keep hearing about the players that get mentioned,” the former Manchester United, Real Madrid and LA Galaxy star told Sky Sports.

“But obviously, if any club around the world have the chance to bring in Cristiano or Leo to their squad then every team would want that.

“Of course, to have played at the highest level, for the amount of years they have played, and to still be doing it, it’s any owners dream to [sign them].

“We’re really happy with the squad that we have going into this weekend.

“We have some great talented young players, a couple of experienced players.

“Yes, we have ambitions of bringing big names into the club as well but we’ll take our time with them.”
