Sonja Morgan claims that the cast and crew of the Real Housewives of New York City are closer than ever, Page Six reported earlier today. During a conversation with the publication on Tuesday at the AMC Lincoln Center Theater, Sonja explained that she and the other members of the cast are getting along great these days.
“This season has been great,” Morgan explained, adding, “I’m very excited.” According to Morgan, the Real Housewives of New York City recently welcomed a new addition to the show, the 37-year-old fashion designer and CEO, Leah McSweeney, and this past season has been filled with laughs and drama.
The reality star stated that fans of the series are really going to “enjoy this season,” because of how funny and dramatic it is. Fans of the series have also gotten used to Luann De Lesseps, who has struggled with drinking over the last few years.
In fact, a Season 12 trailer featured Luann drinking a glass of vodka, but Sonja declared that Lesseps was a “good girl,” and she’d do just fine for herself. As it was previously reported, Luann was arrested for public intoxication and assaulting a police officer near the ending of 2017.
Since then, she has been in and out of rehab and has also been in trouble with the law for violating her parole.
However, in recent months, Luann has stated that she intends to “drink responsibly” from now on, which some fans have suggested is impossible for someone who struggles with alcoholism.
Regardless of fans’ concerns, Sonja appears totally relaxed about Luann and her future. As for her relationship with Bethenny Frankel, Sonja explained that she and Frankel were best friends, and she really misses her on the reality series.

With that said, all she can hope for is for Bethenny to enjoy her life, which is ultimately what Sonja wants as well. The Real Housewives of New York City is coming back to Bravo on the 2nd of April.
