Liam Gallagher and Noel Gallagher lock horns over vicious Twitter jibes after Oasis claims

Liam Gallagher was the butt of former bandmate Noel Gallagher’s joke at the weekend when the older sibling decided to mock his brother’s solo music on Twitter. The latest bout of insult-slinging kicked off when Noel decided to wade into the Twittersphere in order to take a pop at his younger brother following the release of the latter’s single Once. “Nothing to see here dudes and dollies,” Noel tweeted his 1.2 million followers. “Silence is golden… and just in case you weren’t already aware someone still has a new single out.

“I believe it’s called Once which is the exact amount of times it should be played,” he added.

“It’s still available in all good record shops but mostly in the s**t ones. Happy Sunday.”

Naturally, Noel’s taunts didn’t go unnoticed baby fans, many of whom flocked to Liam’s page to see what his reaction would be.

“Quite funny that Noel’s piping up now… after years in the Twitter silence wilderness?” one said.

The latest round of the ex-Oasis stars’ spat comes following Liam’s claims his brother had turned down the offer of a staggering sum for a reunion.

Writing on Twitter, he said: “We’ve been offered 100 million pounds for a tour still not enough for the greedy soul.”

Last month, he also said Noel had called him “begging” him to get Oasis back together in 2022, however.

But Noel was quick to dismiss the claims, hitting back in his own statement to TalkSPORT.

“I’ve been listening to the show,” he told the radio programme, which had been discussing a potential Oasis reunion. “And re ‘The Reunion,’ sadly I think the other fella must have been on the leftover Christmas Babycham.”

He also added: “For the record, until anyone hears it from ME, it’s not happening.”

In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Liam said he believed the pair needed to mend their relationship before bringing Oasis back.

“If we do it without becoming mates again, I think it would be a f***ing waste of time,” he said. “I don’t think we’d last the first chorus of f***ing Rock N’ Roll Star. I think I’d end up sticking it on him.”
