Andy Cohen made a revelation recently that Porsha Williams was on the chopping block of Real Housewives of Atlanta after her first season. The Dish Nation star addressed the situation on the broadcasting show where she explained her side of things.
If you’ve been watching Porsha since her first season, you’d know that she was a completely different person now than she was then. The outgoing, funny, and ambitious reality star was a timid newcomer being controlled by her ex-husband Kordell Stewart.
Not only did she have a lackluster storyline, but the peach holder also ended up being single by the installment’s end.
Andy revealed on the Jenny McCarthy Show that they were prepared to let Williams go until she gave a speech about who she was.
Porsha explained on Dish Nation that she had a feeling she wasn’t going to be asked back so she poured her heart on the line.
‘I didn’t know that they had decided they were going to fire me. I felt like I was going to be fired. You know what I mean? Like I was just going in there I had started the show with a husband ending the first season without a husband and I just felt like — you know what — Ima just leave my heart and everything of who I am on the table. I really have come a long way.’
She went on to thank Rickey Smiley for her new life.
‘I do have to thank Rickey Smiley for that glo up. You know, it was my opportunity coming in with y’all sitting in on the radio show and saying ‘You know what I like this girl and I’m going to give her a chance. I love Dish Nation for my journey. I love every single part of it.’

As far as Kordell, Porsha quoted Ariana Grande when she said: ‘Thank you ex, next.’
