BlizzCon warnings: Blizzard puts fans on alert with last-minute email

Overwatch, World of Warcraft and Hearthstone developer Blizzard has emailed fans with a last-minute BlizzCon warning. Despite controversy leading up to the event, the 2019 BlizzCon ceremony featured some huge announcements about an Overwatch sequel and a new Diablo game. If you want to re-live the action and unlock some exclusive in-game rewards, then you only have a few hours left to grab the BlizzCon 2019 Virtual Ticket.

That’s according to a new email sent out by Blizzard, which warns fans to pick up the Virtual Ticket before it’s retired on February 7.

This means that from 6pm UK time on February 7, Blizzard fans will no longer be able to gain access to exclusive in-game items launched as part of the BlizzCon Virtual Ticket.

“The BlizzCon 2019 Virtual Ticket is about to retire! Don’t miss out on special commemorative in-game items—purchase yours through February 7 to unlock loot for World of Warcraft, Hearthstone, Overwatch, and more Blizzard games.

“Hurry—these in-game items won’t be available once the 2019 BlizzCon Virtual Ticket retires, so get yours now and save 25% before your chance disappears after February 7, 19:00 CET.”

The platform allows you to display contact information, social media links, services, and products all in one shareable link. Optional features include appointment scheduling, WhatsApp-based storefronts, media galleries, and custom design options.

The exclusive BlizzCon items include two new pets for World of Warcraft, a Golden Legendary Hearthstone card and some Diablo 3 Wings.

It’s particularly good news for Overwatch fans, who can unlock new skins for Genji and Symmetra.

Needless to say, the BlizzCon Virtual Ticket bonuses also cover StarCraft II and Heroes of the Storm.

Heroes of the Storm

• Make your mark in the Nexus with a commemorative BlizzCon spray and portrait, and ride into battle on Celestial Deepcrawler mount. It may not look dangerous, but those claws can give you a nasty pinch…or wipe out all life on your planet. Plus, the Nexus shall tremble when you unlock Deathwing the Destroyer as a playable Hero upon his cataclysmic release.

StarCraft II

• Equip a trio of Brood War–era unit skins and portraits the next time you go into battle. Scout for a zerg ambush aboard the Classic Battlecruiser, hunt your prey with the sinewy Classic Ultralisk, and honor Tassadar’s sacrifice with the Classic Carrier.

Diablo III

• Unfurl the wings of Lilith—daughter of Mephisto—the next time you enter Sanctuary in Diablo III, and prepare to make the world a darker, more hopeless place.
