When quizzed on whether people took their exchanges as two passionate Italians the wrong way, Giovanni exclaimed: “Absolutely, this is called passion.
“With English people, sometimes they thought we were fighting, but we were passionate about what we were doing because we both wanted to look amazing.”
Giovanni went on to say he was grateful for Michelle’s competitive attitude during the series.
He added: “For me as a professional dancer and as a teacher actually this is what I want from a partner, be amazing, and she wanted to be great.
