In an exclusive interview with Express.co.uk, Strictly Come Dancing star Gorka Marquez, 29, said he is yet to hear from bosses about his future on the show. It comes after he was not teamed up with a celebrity partner for the first time since joining the show back in 2016 last year.
When asked if he’s heard if he will be dancing with a celebrity or not this year, he said: “We haven’t had anything yet, we get a phone call and hopefully I’ll be back, it’s an amazing show.”
The dancer went on to say being a part of just the group numbers was not his choice.
He added: “No I didn’t choose not to have a partner, it was decided by the show.
“I just took it positively and thought whatever is the best for the show.

“The show is good and successful, I was very happy with the choice, I was happy to still be involved.”
The professional dancers on the show usually find out if they will be returning to the series at some point in the spring.
Gorka said the decision allowed him to spend more time with his girlfriend Gemma Atkinson and their daughter Mia, who was born in July.
“Even though I wasn’t dancing last year, it was good to be involved,” he divulged.
“I wouldn’t be able to say yes or no, there’s a production team who work their wisdom and put all the partners together,” he added.
“If they think that’s what’s best for the show, I will happily do what they ask me to do.
“Whatever is best for the show I will do, the show is the most important thing, we will happily do it.”
For now, Gorka is focusing on his tour with his fellow professional Karen Hauer.
