Donald Trump health: Major fears for US President after rally appearance sparks concern

A video clip posted to a Twitter account purportedly shows the US President swinging his right leg and and struggling with his balance as he walks along the stage. Some social media users are convinced that Trump is suffering from dementia, which is affecting his ability to walk. One Twitter user reached out to a doctor, who had made the same observations about the US President’s walking gait.

The doctor said that Trump seemed to be in danger of falling and breaking his leg, an injury that would be fatal for a dementia sufferer.

The medical practitioner wrote: “That video of him walking was very disturbing.

“People with balance issues have a wide-based gait to compensate.

“He’s a fall risk. His balance is very poor and he’s at risk of fracturing his neck or femur.

“If he does it’s all over because demented patients with this fracture never recover. He’s certainly deteriorating.”

Others speculated that the US President had suffered a stroke.

One wrote: “He may have had a mild stroke on his left side. I’m pretty sure that’s what all the hush hush is about.”

Another posted: “I hate to say this…because I don’t wish it on anyone…even him…but I think he had a stroke and one side isn’t working right.”

The White House denied that there was anything untoward in the President’s check-up, insisting that Trump was “healthy and energetic”.

Trump’s press secretary Stephanie Grisham said at the time that the examination was an early part of his 2020 annual physical and was prompted by a “free weekend” in the President’s diary.

Appearing later on Fox News, Ms Grisham said: “”He’s healthy as can be. He has more energy than anybody in the White House.

“That man works from 6am until very, very late at night.”

Certainly, the US President shows no sign of scaling back his work schedule, as he travelled this week to Davos to attend the World Economic Forum.

While there, he took time to praise the British Prime Minister and said he was looking forward to concluding a major trade deal with the UK.

Trump told reporters: “”We look forward to negotiating a tremendous new deal with the UK.

“They have a wonderful new prime minister who very much wants to make a deal, as they say.”

Mr Johnson is reportedly determined to go “hell for leather” to secure an agreement with the US, in an attempt to get leverage in talks with the EU.
