Tom Jones wife: Linda’s EXPLOSION after singer’s affairs – ‘She punched and shouted’

Sir Tom Jones is perhaps best known for his distinctive singing, world-famous hits and film and tv appearances. However, the Sex Bomb singer is also known for his multiple affairs, some of which hit the headlines.

Sir Tom met his wife Linda when the pair were still at school, and they were married for 59 years before her death in 2016 following a “short but fierce” battle with cancer.

Linda preferred life out of the spotlight, remaining at home while Tom toured the world on numerous tours and special appearances.

Of her death, Tom told the Daily Star Sunday: “When something like that happens, it’s so devastating you don’t know how to deal with everything.

“It was something I’d never dealt with before.

“I’m human. We’re all human beings first and foremost.

“When you lose someone that you love it can kick you in the…if you really love somebody and they go, that’s hard.

“But you’ve got to try or you’ll crumble completely and other people will suffer. You’ve got to think about your family as well.”

Despite Tom describing Linda as “the love of my life” the star still had multiple affairs, at one point professing to have had 250 a year at the height of his career.

He said: “She’s the most important thing in my life.

“An unbelievable woman. Linda is the love of my life and she still is, even though she doesn’t look like she did.

“I don’t look like I did, either, but I try my best.”

Tom is back on screens every Saturday for ITV show The Voice, where he and three other judges build teams of talented singers.

Meghan Trainor, Olly Murs, Will.i.am and Tom listen to singers before deciding whether to turn around their chairs and vie for them to join their team.

Sir Tom has won the competition twice, with Leanne Mitchell in 2012 and again with Ruti Olajugbagbe in 2018.

He will be hoping to replicate his wins again, building his team with talented singers.

The Voice is on ITV1 tonight at 8.30pm.
