Vodafone broadband deal offers free upgrade to rival Virgin and TalkTalk

Broadband bundles are a must-have for any home, and thankfully they seem to get better and better – and the latest from Vodafone is no different, matching the company’s previous Black Friday deal.

As part of the network’s winter sale, Vodafone is offering their high-speed Superfast 2 package for the same price as the Superfast 1 connection, which means you can boost your speeds from the basic 35 Mbps all the way to an average of 63 Mbps for just £21 per month over 18-months.

The Superfast 2 connection offers a guaranteed speed of at least 55 Mbps or your money back, and there’s unlimited usage, too – so no caps on your downloads.

If you’re looking to stream a lot of content, then Vodafone are offering both broadband bundles with an Apple TV 4K for £31 per month – including Apple TV Plus.

That means you’ll get Apple’s latest streaming device to put under your telly, a free subscription to the tech giant’s new streaming service, and a high-speed internet connection for just £31 per month.

For comparison’s sake, the closest competition to this deal comes from TalkTalk, the network offering slightly faster average speeds than Vodafone with 67 Mbps for £21.95 – with a £40 gift card for Amazon, Tesco or Argos. It’s also a 24-month deal, so you’re locked in for a bit longer.

It’s also worth pointing out that both Vodafone and TalkTalk guarantee no price hikes during your contract.

Meanwhile, Virgin Media offers average speeds of £108 Mbps for £27 per month – but you’re only locked in for 12-months, after which the price goes up to £49 per month.

Aside from that, you’ll also have to pay a £35 upfront cost – so it isn’t without its drawbacks.

Ofcom recently pledged to bring fibre broadband to more UK homes, which hopefully will keep the price of the high-speed packages dropping. It’s not just faster, it’s more reliable, too – which is more important than ever in today’s world where everything from tv and movies to games are being streamed.
