Dan Walker, 43, has hit back at trolls who criticised his BBC Breakfast interview with Brexit Secretary Steve Barclay. The BBC host often addresses criticism after backlash from political interviews, and this time it seems, was no different.
BBC Breakfast welcomed Mr Barclay onto the show yesterday morning to chat about the fast approaching deadline for the country to leave the European Union.
But Dan found himself becoming irritated at the politician’s deflection from answering the questions at hand.
“I don’t want to keep asking the same thin,” Dan said.
“So there are no preparations in place for a potential no deal at the end of the year – a no deal exit?”

“New year… same garbage,” he tutted, accompanying his host with a rolling eye video.
But he had his loyal fans there to back him up, as they flocked to the comments section to share their views on the abuse he received.
One acknowledged: “It seems that people aren’t happy unless they aren’t happy.”
Another praised: “When I watch an interview I want you to ask the questions that I would have asked, and yes you did.”
