Emmerdale spoilers: Dawn Taylor delivers shock ultimatum after sinister Harriet betrayal

Harriet Finch (played by Katherine Dow Blyton) is set to make a huge decision on Emmerdale which will affect those closest to her. After a tough year, the village vicar has rekindled her relationship with Will Taylor (Dean Andrews) and is hopeful Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley) will regain custody of her son, Lucas. But relationships are about to take a turn for the worst for the village vicar.

In upcoming ITV scenes Harriet will be told the church is under consideration to be closed down.

Devastated by the news, Harriet realises the church can’t afford the expensive repair work the building’s roof needs.

When Will hears the bishop’s plans he’s heartbroken and vows to stop Harriet from having to relocate.

The ex-con puts a plan together to help Harriet stay but it backfires when Harriet realises what he’s done.

Will secretly steals some expensive items from the church and uses the proceeds to make a hefty donation for the repairs.

Discussing the upcoming storyline, Harriet star Katherine explained: “One of the most precious things in the church was a Bible that Edna gave to Ashley, which is now Harriet’s.

“Harriet is devastated that it has been taken and she’s surprised to find it in the boot of Will’s car! She then knows it was Will who broke in.

“Harriet has some photos of everything that has been taken, which she is supposed to be handing to PC Swirling as part of the police investigation.

“Harriet gives Will some opportunities to admit what he’s done, then she confronts him and she’s very, very disappointed,” Katherine explained.

“I think Harriet will try her best to forgive him, because she knows that it came from the right place.

“But she’s now wondering whether she’s going to betray her faith by not turning him in to the police, or betray her family by telling the truth. “

“It’s a cliff-edge for Harriet Finch!” she remarked.
