The rapper took to social media to post an apology directed at the LGBTQ community for some comments that were admittedly ‘ignorant.’ That being said, it sounds like YG is starting the new decade on a positive note, taking responsibility for his mistakes and being a kinder, more tolerant person!
That is also the message YG was trying to convey in his tweet – that he’s a different person now, someone who’s thankfully evolved past those views.
‘It’s been brought to my attention that my old views on life was ignorant. I apologize to the LGBTQ komunity for ever koming across like i was anything but respectful and accepting. Live. Love. Ya Life. Gang!’ he wrote.
At this point in time, there’s no explanation as to what exactly caused his change of heart and sudden need to apologize.
However, some users were quick to share their guesses, one of the most popular assumptions being that his ex, Kehlani is bisexual and that was what caused him to apologize publicly.
Here are a couple of the reactions he got to the tweet: ‘He only saying that to appease to kehlani.’ / ‘Kehlani done changed mans.’
As you may remember, the artists were first linked back in September and their relationship was confirmed at Kith’s New York Fashion Week show.
But, the following month, a clip of YG kissing another woman surfaced and his team released a statement that argued that he regretted the mistake and that he was drunk when it happened.
Whether that excuse is valid or not, the couple did stay together.

However, as of December, Kehlani and YG seem to be broken up.
