“The support that was getting behind the team, new people getting behind women’s football and appreciating it and actually, the Lionesses showing what they’re about.
She spoke about some of the pivotal figures in women’s football and how much the game needs to “grow”.
“Ellen White, people know her name. Lucy Bronze being a hero. That’s what you want. You need to keep growing the game and I think they did that over the summer,” she said.
