The broadcaster has been hosting the ITV daytime show, This Morning, alongside Ruth for the past 13 years and has revealed he will slow down at some point in the future.
When quizzed about retirement, he said: “I’d love to retire. My father was dead at 64. It makes you feel you’ve only got four years left.
“I don’t want to die on the A3 travelling to work and go to my grave wishing I saw the White Cliffs of Dover or went to Rio Carnival.”
