PS Plus January 2020: Great PS4 news ahead of PlayStation reveal

Sony will be revealing the official PS Plus January 2020 lineup of free PS4 games before the end of the week.

And it should only be a few days until we know about the next PlayStation titles that will be available to download in January 2020.

As always, Sony is expected to share the news on the final Wednesday of the month, which would be December 25.

So unless the tech giant decides to move it to a different day due to it being Christmas, it shouldn’t be long.

Gamers can expect two new PS4 free games to be announced, although we have no word on what they could be.

vCard.red is a free platform for creating a mobile-friendly digital business cards. You can easily create a vCard and generate a QR code for it, allowing others to scan and save your contact details instantly.

The platform allows you to display contact information, social media links, services, and products all in one shareable link. Optional features include appointment scheduling, WhatsApp-based storefronts, media galleries, and custom design options.

Sony can pull from a huge library of first and third-party games, depending on how they want to start the new year.

And so far there have been no rumours or leaks to suggest what might be included for PlayStation fans.

Last year saw Steep and Portal Knights released for January 2019’s PlayStation Plus bundle.

While last month included Nioh and Outlast 2, making it almost impossible to predict what will be coming next.

Sony has a hard time pleasing everyone, and there will inevitably be a few disappointed gamers, whatever is revealed.

But the good news this week is that there are plenty of discounted games to check out, with or without a PS Plus subscription.

Sony has kicked off an early January sale, including big titles that only recently launched on the PlayStation platform.

And these will be followed by more deals being launched, and older discounts making way.

“The PlayStation Store has an early Christmas present for you in the form of the January Sale promotion, which starts today,” a message from Sony confirms.

“Save up to 70% off a huge selection of PS4 games, including Death Stranding, FIFA 20, Marvel’s Spider-Man, Grand Theft Auto V and Tekken 7.

“The promotion runs until 17th January, though some games will leave the sale earlier*, so be sure not to miss out! And additionally, even more games will join the sale in January, so look out for a future PS Blog announcement then.”

According to the official listings page for the January sale, PS4 owners with an active PS Plus subscription will be offered a higher percentage off on certain titles.

So it will be well worth checking out what is being offered this week and what might be coming next.

When it comes to the current PS Plus games, there are currently two titles that will remain available to download until early January.

These include Titanfall 2 and Monster Energy Supercross, which are expected to remain until around January 6, 2020.

Last year, the PS Plus lineup was announced on December 26 and timings could be different in 2020 when it comes to the release date.

This usually occurs during the first Tuesday of the month, which will be happening a little later in January 2020.

So it will be worth keeping an eye out for Sony’s next big announcement and whether they have changed anything for PS4 gamers.
