Ellie Goulding is a popular singer who tied the knot earlier this year in York. She married art dealer, Caspar Jopling, 27, in a celebration with a star-studded guest list fit for royalty. On the big day, Ellie reportedly went through four wedding dresses including a bespoke Chloé design and Stella McCartney garment.
Ellie shared the news in a traditional manner, opting for a subtle post in The Times in August 2018.
The announcement read: “Mr C.W.F. Jopling and Miss E.J. Goulding.
“The engagement is announced between Caspar, son of The Hon Nicholas Jopling of Yorkshire and Mrs Jayne Warde-Aldam of Yorkshire, and Elena, daughter of Mr Arthur Goulding of Hertfordshire and Mrs Tracey Sumner of West Midlands.”
On 31 August 2019, the couple tied the knot at York Minster and the celebrations were attended by celebrities including Sarah Fergusion, Katy Perry and Jimmy Carr.

On the big day, the singer reportedly changed into four different wedding dresses.
For the ceremony, Ellie opted for a classic simple style designed by Natacha Ramsay-Levi.
The bespoke Chloé design had silk double crêpe white dress with hand-embroidered White Roses of York and white glass beads.

The Victorian-inspired garment featured a silk petticoat and took more than 640 hours to complete.
Speaking in a statement, Ellie said: “I was so thrilled and excited to collaborate with Natacha at Chloé on my wedding dress.
“I have loved the brand and their incredible team for years, so it only seemed right for Chloé to play a big part of this special day.
“Natacha worked alongside me to design something timeless and classic, but with all the Chloé spirit. Natacha is a very talented designer and I have admired her work from day one.”
Ellie completed the look with a delicate silk tulle veil and organza cola which were embroiled with an ‘E’ and ‘C’ for the couple’s initials.
The singer revealed she was involved in the creation of the looks and spoke of her royal inspiration.
She told Vogue: “I’ve always loved timeless bridal looks, from Princess Anne and Bianca Jagger to the Princess of Monaco, and I wanted to bring together modern and traditional elements.”
Although Ellie opted for a private reception, she changed a few times as the day progressed.
As celebrations continued at Castle Howard, Ellie put on a classic Stella McCartney gown.
The designer floor length gown had an off-the-shoulder short sleeve and thigh high slit.
Ellie then revealed a third dress, telling Vogue: “Ralph & Russo have collaborated on my favourite piece from their AW19 collection – it’s a bodice of pearls and silk, which I will be wearing with an evening skirt.”
The third gown gave the singer room to dance with a large slit across the front of the design.
It had a fully beaded pearl top with a high neck which was tucked into the satin skirt.
However, she also hinted at a possible fourth wedding dress when speaking before her wedding.
Referencing Oliver Rousteing, of Balmain, she said: “Olivier has made me the most fun dress to dance the night away in.”
