Despite Riverdale showrunners teasing Jughead Jones’s death (played by Cole Spouse) multiple times, the latest peak into the future seemed pretty realistic as a bloodstained Betty stood shaking over his body.
The ninth episode titled Tangerine featured a flash forward to four weeks into the future.
Betty Cooper (Lili Reinhart) was seen standing in a dark wood as Jughead lay on the floor.
It has been no secret that Betty has been struggling with her darkness within.
During her FBI training, Betty realised she had a serial killer gene, the same one that prompted her father Hal Cooper (Lochlyn Munro) to become The Black Hood.
