Man Utd have three-man transfer wish list
Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has told club chief Ed Woodward to improve on last summer’s recruitment drive and has given the club’s executive vice-chairman a three-man shortlist of players he wants.
Solskjaer has identified where he wants the board to strengthen his side over the next two transfer windows and according to the Evening Standard, he has Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho, Red Bull Salzburg striker Erling Haaland and at least one other midfielder on his wanted list.
The report also claims that while any major business is likely to be conducted in the summer, if any of his targets become available in January the club will look to sign the players on his wish-list.
United have been monitoring Jadon Sancho for quite some time but will likely face competition from several clubs across Europe for the England international.
Everton set to sack Marco Silva
Everton are reportedly planning to sack Marco Silva today and replace him with former manager David Moyes after defeat to Liverpool on Wednesday night. Club legend Tim Cahill is apparently likely to come in as assistant manager.

Everton were humiliated in the Merseyside derby last night as they lost 5-2 to Liverpool at Anfield.
The table-topping Reds scored four times in the first half as Jurgen Klopp’s side ran riot.
The defeat piled on the pressure for Silva, who is apparently preparing to be sacked by the club today.
According to the Liverpool Echo, the manager is expecting to be let go after a torrid spell of results.
Everton dropped into the relegation after defeat to Liverpool, leaving Silva on the brink with the axe likely to fall today.
Jadon Sancho to Chelsea
Chelsea are confident of winning the battle to sign Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho.
That’s according to Goal, who claim Frank Lampard’s side are prepared to shatter their transfer record to secure his services either in January or next summer.
Chelsea’s current transfer record stands at £72million paid for goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga from Athletic Bilbao.
But Goal claim Chelsea executives will green-light a bid that could potentially dwarf the £89m Barcelona paid Dortmund for Ousmane Dembele in 2017.
Sancho, 19, is reported to be unhappy at the Westfalenstadion with Liverpool, Barcelona and Manchester United also competing for his signature.
