A very proud mom, Toya Wright took to social media, where she wrote a loving message for her oldest daughter, Reginae Carter, who is celebrating her 21st birthday.
Toya, who shares Reginae with rapper Lil Wayne, also posted a never-before-seen photo. The picture that was taken about 19 years ago has Toya rocking Fenty print and baby Reginae looking cute as a button.
Toya, who recently got engaged to boyfriend Robert Rushing, penned this loving note: “I’ll never forget the day I found out I had a little baby girl growing inside me. I was excited, nervous, and terrified all at the same time. The anticipation of being a mother created a new sense of responsibility in my life. The thought that this little girl would rely on me for everything was overwhelming. At the time, I was 16 and just a child myself. With God’s help, I somehow figured it out. The last 21 years have gone so fast, and now you are a beautiful young woman. When I look at you, I feel comfort in knowing that I must have done something right (even though some moments I question myself). You are amazing, and I’m both blessed and honored to be your mother.
