Shady Jose Mourinho reaction resurfaces after Roy Keane’s Harry Kane to Man Utd comments

Jose Mourinho’s reaction to Roy Keane’s claim that Manchester United should sign Harry Kane, has now resurfaced and it makes for intriguing viewing.

The comments were made in the Sky Sports studio after Manchester United drew 1-1 with Liverpool back in October.

Dave Jones was joined by Keane, Mourinho, Graeme Souness and Gary Neville after the clash.

The pundits were discussing how United move forward with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer under increasing pressure.

“Just go and get Harry Kane from Spurs,” Keane said. “It’s easy.”

Gary Neville then replied: “You’ll be popular with Spurs fans.”

Keane fired back: “Just go and get him.

“Yeah [I’m serious], what [are] you all staring at?”

The studio then burst out in laughter, besides Mourinho.

He can be seen awkwardly staring towards the floor during the exchange.

Interestingly, Sky Sports claimed after his appointment at Tottenham that Daniel Levy made contact with the former Utd and Chelsea boss after Spurs’ 1-1 draw with Watford.

That was on October 19, just one day before United’s draw with Liverpool, when Keane’s comments took place.

Levy was beginning to sound out Mourinho as a potential replacement for Mauricio Pochettino, who was struggling to turn things around.

It’s believed that Mourinho was keen to seek assurances from Levy that he would do everything he can to keep Kane at the club, before he signed the contract.

Not only that, but Mourinho is said to have consulted Kane and asked him to give him at least one full season.

The new Spurs boss is desperate to convince all of the players that he can win trophies at the club.
