Arsenal should call Mauricio Pochettino and ask if he would be willing to replace Unai Emery at the Emirates, claims former Wimbledon midfielder Robbie Earle.
Emery is under pressure at Arsenal following a run of no wins in six matches in all competitions.
Some pundits have suggested former Tottenham boss Pochettino, who was sacked by Spurs last week, is an idea replacement for Emery.
Earle doubts whether Pochettino would make the move across north London but says a phone call would definitely be worthwhile.
“I don’t think [Pochettino] would [manage Arsenal],” Earle told Sky Sports News.

“I think the reputation, the legacy he’s left at Spurs, he wants to go back to that football club.
“But do you know what? If I was an Arsenal owner and Pochettino’s around, I’d be making the call and seeing if he’d be interested because he builds clubs, he takes things on.
“There’s a good group of players at that football club, they’re not that much short of a team that should be doing much better and at least challenging the top four.”
Arsenal have not sacked a manager since Bruce Rioch was given the boot in 1996 though, and Earle doubts they will pull the plug on Emery just yet.
“This is a tough one,” he added.
“I think because of the way Arsenal set up and the board’s structure and the ownership, they don’t sack managers lightly.
“I think he will be given a little bit more time but a little bit like Marco Silva [at Everton], he’s been in the job 18 months now, there’s been no consistency to his work.
“We see three at the back against a Southampton team that were struggling at the weekend and at half time he takes Calum Chambers off and goes to a back four.
“The boos at the end of the game tell you that a 2-2 draw at home to Southampton, where you’re scrambling to get points, is not good enough for Arsenal Football Club.”
