Tesla’s stainless-steel Cybertruck looks like nothing else.

It’s time. Elon Musk is revealing his long-awaited Tesla Cybertruck, a radical all-electric, stainless-steel-bodied bulletproof pickup. He’s doing it right now.
The event is going on right now, and so far, Tesla has provided a livestream feed on its website — it requires you to enter your name and email. Tesla has also just added the stream on YouTube, and you can watch it by clicking on the feed below.
Despite Musk’s outgoing character on social media, details surrounding the Tesla pickup truck have been pretty few and far between before now. The CEO has said it will handle like a sports car, yet it will out-haul some of the legacy pickups that have been doing this for decades. Musk even says the Cybertruck’s design was partially inspired by the James Bond movie, The Spy Who Loved Me.

Rumors have pointed to a pretty wild design for the Cybertruck, and they were right. Heck, the name itself seems to hint at something fairly futuristic, even if the term “cyber” has largely fallen out of today’s vernacular.
We do know Musk has been eager to build a pickup truck for years now. The idea first became public in 2017, and the Tesla boss estimated we’d see the electric pickup in 2019. He’s right on the money, but we don’t know if this will be a concept or something ready for production in the near future. Even if it is intended for production, it’s unlikely to hit the streets soon, if only because the company likely doesn’t have a production facility ready to build it.
Following the Cybertruck’s reveal, we may see the company open reservations, much like it did following the new Roadster’s surprise debut. Whatever happens, you can watch it all unfold right here.
