The Watchdog presenter thanked crew members for their support and said her “wonderful team” had been like “an extended family” to her during her time on the show.
Praising the tech gang, the production staff and make-up artists, Steph added: “I love them. They have looked after me through thick and thin, and made me sound and look better than I really am.”
The star then addressed her co-presenters, who include the likes of Dan Walker, Louise Minchin, Ben Thompson and John Kay, and joked they are “show-offs”.
She wrote: “The most supportive of group of show-offs you’ll ever meet. Whatever is happening in each of our lives, we’ve covered for each other, fought for each other and of course regularly taken the mick out of each other too.”(sic)
The host added: “Time to hang up my Breakfast hard hat and hi-vis. And say, thank YOU.”
