Actress Angelina Jolie has been talking a bit more about her life as a mother, humanitarian, and life as a divorcee — three years after she ended her romance with Brad Pitt.
While promoting her latest project, Jolie explained that some of Pitt’s decision is making it hard for her and her children to live their lives to the fullest.
Jolie stated that she is having issues with the fact that Pitt is preventing her and their children — Maddox, 18, Pax, 15, Zahara, 14, Shiloh, 13, and 11-year-old twins, Knox and Vivienne, — from moving abroad.
She stated: “I would love to live abroad and will do so as my children turn 18. Right now, I’m having to base where their father chooses to live.”
Rumors claimed that Jolie is seriously thinking about going to Cambodia with her clan.
An insider spoke to Hollywood Life and said the actress is eager to travel the world and added: “Angelina’s very frustrated that Brad won’t agree to her and the kids living abroad. It’s the one thing she can’t get over because it’s impacting how she’s able to live her life. Angelina’s a citizen of the world, and she has a home in Cambodia, she’s building a home in Africa, she’d love to raise her kids overseas. But that isn’t something Brad’s been willing to agree to, and he’s been very clear that it’s not up for negotiation. So she’s resigned herself to being in LA until the twins are 18, but that doesn’t mean she’s not bothered by it, it’s very frustrating.”
Another source stated that Jolie is frustrated by Jolie’s interview and went on to say: “Brad is disappointed, he finds it pretty disheartening that she would make that sort of comment and try to paint him as the bad guy, especially since he’s been so flexible and understanding when it comes to her travel schedule with the kids.”
The family friend went on to explain: “But he won’t retaliate, and he won’t respond, he does not feel that it’s in his kids’ best interest to share details about the custody arrangement so he will remain tight-lipped as always. No, she has no plans to offer him joint custody. She has no issues with Brad spending time with the kids, and she is being sure to follow all visitation guidelines set down by the courts, but she doesn’t want to give up primary custody. Of course, if the law requires her to give Brad joint custody, she will comply, that’s a given, but it will be very hard on her because the kids are her world.”
