Avengers Endgame deleted scene finally REVEALED: Tony Stark's goodbye to his daughter

“It’s not a scene you could say, ‘Let’s try it at the beginning.’ It only made narrative sense where it was, but it didn’t make pacing sense. So it just had to go,” he added.

The Russo brothers previously told the Happy Sad Confused podcast that Avengers: Endgame had featured a scene where Tony had gone to the metaphysical Way Station where Thanos saw a young Gamora (Ariana Greenblatt) after he snapped his fingers and that, there, Tony saw an older version of his own daughter.

Speaking out on the reason the scene didn’t make the cut, they said it had been too complicated for test audiences early on.

“What we realised about it was we didn’t feel an emotional association with the adult version of his daughter,” they explained.
