Neil Jones: Strictly pro reacts as viewer queries his appearance in awkward moment

Strictly Come Dancing 2019 professional dancer Neil Jones, 37, caught up with Zoe Ball, 48, on the show’s spin-off programme yesterday evening. Alongside his dance partner Alex Scott and fellow pro Kevin Clifton, the trio discussed their latest antics in rehearsals.

At the time, all three of the stars didn’t know whether it would be Kevin or Neil dancing with the football pundit, following Neil’s recent injury.

The show shared a video of the trio discussing the topic on Twitter in view of their 796,00 followers.

They wrote: “The question on all of our minds… will @Mr_NJones or @keviclifton dance with @AlexScott on #Strictly this weekend?”

But one eagle-eyed viewer wanted to know the answer to a different question away from the topic.

The latter told backstage host Gethin Jones: “I am dancing!

“It’s great to be back, Alex has been doing so well and thank you, Kevin, couldn’t have done it without you.”

The dancing duo will perform a Jive to Let’s Twist Again by Chubby Checker.

Elsewhere, the pair recently discussed their chemistry in a joint interview with Hello! Magazine.

Following Neil’s split from Katya Jones earlier this year, fans of the show have been left wondering whether he and Alex are more than friends.

The pair, who are both single, have continuously insisted they are just good friends.

Speaking to Hello! Magazine, Neil said: “There’s nothing on our minds but the show – we don’t have time to think about anything else.”

“I’m single but I haven’t even thought about dating. Coming out of a long-term relationship I’m just focusing on Strictly,” he added.

The footballer added: “I’m single but it’s not like I need to find someone.

“‘I like things to happen organically and if someone comes into my life and we get on, then great. It’s not like I need to go searching for it.”

Strictly Come Dancing continues tomorrow at 6.50pm on BBC One.
