Pokemon Sword and Shield fans count down to launch with AMAZING Nintendo Switch goodies

Nintendo Switch fans can stock up on Pokemon merchandise ahead of the Sword and Shield release date.

To celebrate the imminent release of Pokemon Sword and Shield, PDP Gaming has teamed up with Nintendo to launch some fantastic accessories.

The new range of products include a selection of Pokemon-themed cases, as well as a couple of Pocket Monster wired controllers for Super Smash Bros.

First up are the Poke Ball and Pikachu Nintendo Switch cases, which support both the regular console and Switch Lite.

The Commuter version of the Nintendo Switch case fits upwards of 14 games, a Pro Controller, AC Adapter, Power Bank, additional Joy-Con controllers and a handful of smaller accessories.

There’s also a slightly smaller Deluxe Travel Case, which lets users store up to 14 games.

Elsewhere, PDP has launched Eevee and Pikachu Cases, which hold six games and various accessories.

Finally, the new Gamecube-style Wired Fight Pad Pro Controllers are modelled after Pichu and Jigglypuff. Both come with 10-foot USB cables and detachable C-Sticks.

Pokemon Sword and Shield has a November 15 release date, exclusively on Nintendo Switch.

The game contains lots of new features and a new generation of Pokemon, not to mention a brand new location loosely based on the United Kingdom.

One of the headline new features is the aforementioned Dynamaxing, which transforms Pocket Monsters into huge beasts with more powerful special moves.

The Nintendo Switch game will also have more Trainer customisation options, including the ability to change hairstyles and wear makeup.

Players will also be able to set up camps when exploring the Galar region, and can even cook up a selection of curry dishes.

Fans who have pre-ordered the game digitally will also be happy to hear that the game’s file size has been revealed.

And the good news is that Pokemon Sword and Shield won’t max out your Switch console’s memory, because each individual game will only take up 9.5GB of space on the internal memory.

It’s a far cry from some of the console’s third-party efforts, which sometimes max out the Nintendo Switch’s memory.

The games are also available to pre-load for digital pre-order customers, which means you can get stuck into the action as soon as the game goes live.
