Melania Trump heartbreak: FLOTUS' devastating reaction to husband Trump's presidency

Melania has always seemed supportive of her husband’s role in leading the US. She has stood by him through various events and has even begun her own BeBest campaign which focusses on some of the major issues facing children in America.

An early adviser of Trump’s, Roger Stone, explained that to Vanity Fair in 2017 that Melania even helped push her husband to declare his candidacy.

Mr Stone said: “She knew it was in his blood.”

“He always wanted to run.

“She is the one who pushed him to run just by saying run or do not run.

“I don’t think she was ever too crazy about it.”

However, when Trump declared his candidacy, Melania was forced to come to terms with the fact she would likely become FLOTUS.

A close friend of the Trumps has revealed that she never thought her husband would win the election and that she didn’t want him to “come hell or high water.”

The friend told Vanity Fair: “This isn’t something she wanted and it isn’t something he ever thought he’d win.

Melania also delayed moving into the White House until five months after her husband’s inauguration.

The First Lady recently came under fire after claiming she was a “hands on” parent who did not need a nanny.

However, Trump admitted the family have had help.

During a 2015 interview with People Magazine, Melania explained why she did not want to get a nanny.

She said: “I like to be hands-on. I think it’s very important.”

Although the family can afford the extra help, Melania changed her son’s nappies and prepared his dinner and lunch, even though they reportedly have a personal chef.

The First Lady added: “I am a full-time mom; that is my first job. The most important job ever”.

Despite the claims, Trump later revealed to Page Six that the family did have assistance.

He said: “Yes, there is a young woman,

“Someone who works with Barron.”
