Chuckle Brothers actor Paul Chuckle said his sibling has been speaking to him following his shock death from bone cancer in August 2018. The former only found out the star was dying just weeks before and he now admits talking about it has helped him cope with his loss.
The 72-year-old said he has had plenty of practise discussing his feelings after first losing his there-month-old daughter in 1975.
Describing it to the Daily Mirror as “agony”, the TV favourite went on to say a decade late his father died, then his mother five years after, sister Shelia, brother Colin then Barry.
His other brother and fellow Chuckle Brothers star Jimmy Patton also passed away just months ago.
But it was Barry that Paul worked with for more than 50 years and they were always laughing together.

“He’s been in so many of my dreams since he passed,” he said. “I believe in the afterlife – it’s comforting he’s contacting me that way.
“I talk about the good times with [wife] Sue, so I’m not just being upset, missing him. He wanted to work up until the end and he did it.”
Paul continued: “I just miss those laughs we had on stage. I can’t fathom that we’ll never have that laugh together anymore.”
Barry did not discuss his illness with his brother until six weeks before his death, putting his painful leg down to sciatica.
He added: “Some lads got hold of my phone number and were ringing me drunk at four in the morning, shouting, ‘To me, to you!’
“I just kept hanging up, but eventually I had to change my number.”
Paul and Barry first started working alongside one another as teenagers, after the latter suffered a bad accident that brought his football ambitions to an end.
The likes of Butlins and Opportunity Knocks in 1967 followed and they later had their own show, ChuckleVision, which ran for 22 years.
