Vikings fan-favourite Gunnhild (played by Ragga Ragnars) is set to return as Bjorn Ironside’s (Alexandr Ludwig) wife in the final season of the show. With her husband serving as King it is set to be an interesting ride for the Viking’s family. Now, she has shared a picture of herself in full character ahead of the final release date.
Gunnhild is set for an interesting arc next season as the trailer has already teased tension between her and Bjorn as he settles into life on the throne.
Not only does the trailer see Harald (Peter Franzen) wearing a crown, Gunnhild has some harsh words for her husband, as she echoes: “You are a great man. But even great men make mistakes.”
While showrunners are remaining tight-lipped about what the next season will bring for the character, it seems there are rough times ahead for the character as Queen of Kattegat.
With Ivar the Boneless (Alex Høgh Andersen) trying to gain control of the Vikings’ kingdom once again, it seems the pressure is getting to Bjorn.
