Halifax Lloyds DOWN: Server status latest, online banking websites and apps down

Halifax and Lloyds customers have been hit with issues today with customers reporting problems with both bank’s websites and apps.

Independent outage monitor Down Detector has registered a surge of Halifax and Lloyds down reports.

Down Detector has registered thousands of Halifax and Lloyds reports this evening, with internet and mobile banking the main issues.

The Down Detector outage map says the Halifax and Lloyds issues are mainly affecting those in the UK.

As the Lloyds and Halifax issues hit customers took to social networking site Twitter to report problems with the services.

One tweeted: “@HalifaxBank is the Halifax website and app down? I can’t get onto either… ?”

Another posted: “Is the Halifax website down at the moment? @AskHalifax @HalifaxBank”.

One wrote: “@LloydsBank hi, just trying to access my Lloyd’s account online, and it seems the website is down. Any advice”.

And another added: “@LloydsBank all your online systems throughout Lloyds banking group are down”.

The official Halifax Twitter has confirmed that they are aware customers are having issues with internet banking and mobile app services.

They tweeted: “We know some of you are having issues with logging into Internet banking and Mobile App.

“We’re sorry for this. We’re working to have it back to normal soon.”

While the Lloyds Bank Twitter also confirmed they were aware of the issues in a tweet to a customer.

They posted: “We’re aware some customers are having issues with logging into Internet Banking & the Mobile App.

We’re sorry for this & are working to have it back to normal soon.”

Halifax and Lloyds aren’t the only high street banks that have been hit by online banking issues today.

Down Detector also registered a spike in reports of Bank of Scotland customers experiencing mobile and internent banking problems.
